How to trim a dog's nails
NB: if in doubt, always visit a groomer but if you are going to do it yourself, buy good quality clippers and make sure they're sharp. Blunt clippers will split a dogs nail.

Teeth cleaning
Why is teeth cleaning so important?

Looking Good

All dogs want to look good. It gives us self confidence to know we look beautiful. You don't want to go outside with your hair unbrushed and greasy lank locks, and nor do we! This is why it's important you either learn how to groom your dog, or find somebody who can.

What type of coat does your dog have?

Long hair
Long hair needs constant grooming because it's prone to matting and tangling. 5 minutes a day for a quick brush is an easy habit to fall into to keep fur looking good!

Short hair
Short hair can go a week in between brushes, but I bet your dog would prefer to be pampered every day if you have time ;-)

Undercoats
Some breeds have a double coat, and it's the undercoat that sheds the most. For these breeds you need to brush daily to lose the loose hair otherwise it itches and can make the top coat look dull. Other breeds (like Poodles!) hold on to their coats and need regular trimming to lose the bulk.
